National's one-year diploma program and two-year associate degree program cover the appropriate medical terminology as well as medicine administration and calculations, healthcare law and ethics, and human relations. They also provide students with a course in Microsoft Office software. This program is available in Tennessee, Ohio and Indiana.
Everest College - Campus - Certificate
Everest's pharmacy technician program covers basic material like anatomy, physiology and nutrition, as well as pharmacy administration and pharmaceutical calculations. The program also provides customer service, organizational and computer skills. This widespread program is offered in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah and Washington.
US Career Institute - Online - Certificate
This Web and correspondence school offers its 4-month pharmacy technician certificate program online. The program covers the human body, drugs and doseage and pharmacy operations, and prepares students for the CPhT certification exam. It is available online and through correspondence, for students nationwide.
Kaplan College - Campus - Certificate, Diploma
Kaplan offers a certificate program at their Denver campus and diploma programs in California, Nevada, Arizona and Wisconsin. Their programs involve classroom training with professionally experienced instructors, as well as hands-on experience through externships.
Kaplan Career Institute - Campus - Diploma
KCI's pharmacy technician diploma program is available at campuses in Ohio, Michigan and Texas, and includes classroom and lab training. The program covers pharmacology, pharmacy law and sterile products, among other areas, and prepares students for PTCB certification.
Brown Mackie College - Campus - Associate
This college offers a pharmacy tech associate degree program covering medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, as well as pharmacy procedures and medical administration. Business courses give students an extra edge in finding employment. The program is available to students in Ohio, Kentucky and Georgia.
Remington College - Campus - Diploma
Remington's pharmacy tech diploma program includes pharmacology, anatomy, physiology and dosage calculation, and provides students with NPTA sterile products certification. It also prepares students for the PTCB's certification exam. Remington's program is available in Louisiana, Texas, Ohio, Colorado, Arkansas, Tennessee and Alabama.
Virginia College - Campus - Certificate, Diploma, Associate
Students of this school will learn patient consultations, counter dispensing and prescription preparation in retail and hospital settings. The school also provides its graduates with career placement services, for a leg up in the job market. Certificate and diploma programs are available in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Texas and Tennessee, and the associate degree is offered in Florida.
YTI Career Institute - Campus - Diploma
YTI's 12-month diploma program is available at two campuses in Pennsylvania. It covers computing, medical terminology, pharmacologic calculations, pharmacy law and ethics, and pharmacology, as well as providing guidance in career success and professional development.
Sanford-Brown College - Campus - Diploma, Certificate
Students in Texas and Ohio can make use of Sanford-Brown College's Pharmacy Technician program, which trains students in pharmacy computing, medication preparation, inventory and billing, and customer service. The program includes a lecture, lab and clinical portion, as well as an externship where students gain work experience.
Sanford-Brown Institute - Campus - Diploma, Certificate
This south-eastern and midwest college offers training in pharmacy computing, medication preparation, billing, and customer service as part of its pharmacy technician course. The program is divided into lecture, lab, and clinical sections, and finishes with a hands-on externship. It is available to students in Texas, Florida, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
